STEM K-12 Outreach Activity No.01
Name of School: Shirke highschool, Ratnagiri
Number of Students Participated: 30 school students and 5 ASME student members along with Prof. Rushikesh Rasal
ASME FAMT student section conducted a K-12 STEM activity on 26th March 2022. The activity was conducted to advance the awareness, understanding, and appreciation of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in the K-12 student population.
The K-12 STEM Activity consisted of multiple activities related to Science, Technology Mathematics and Engineering.
The following Activities were conducted in School:
1. 3-D printing and its applications along with actual 3-D printing.
In total, 30 students from the school participated in this activity. The program was coordinated by FAMT ASME student members under the guidance of faculty advisor Prof. Hemant V Chavan under the guidance of Dr M. S. Kirkire, Dean Academics and HoD Mechanical Department.
