The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (A.I & M.L.) organized a department-level Project Competition and Exhibition on 20th April 2023. It was held under the activities of the Research and Development Institute to encourage the students for research and teamwork in building a project for the benefits of society.
A total of 5 groups of T.E CSE exhibited their project work which was examined by Prof. V. V. Nimbalkar (H.O.D, CSE-AIML, Dept.), Prof. M. S. Zagade (Asst. Professor of E&Tc Dept.), and Prof. S.S. Athalye (Asst. Professor and Project Coordinator of CSE-AIML, Dept.). These projects were based on security, automation and social cause. In the afternoon session, the students of S.E CSE showcased their projects to Prof. V. V. Nimbalkar, Dr Y.M. Gajmal (Associate. Professor, I.T, Dept.), and Prof. A.N. Shetye (Asst. Professor and Project Coordinator of CSE). All 6 project groups were appreciated by all the judges.
The projects proposed solutions to real-life problems faced by the common people. Health Assistance, an android application, was developed by Mr Devdatta Pokharankar and his group to predict whether any person who uses this application is having diabetes, anemia and hypertension. Mr Om Parab and his group developed an android application which will help a patient to receive blood from the blood bank. Mr Om Takale and his group developed a web application to assist a teacher to set a question paper based on all Course Outcomes with a given marks distribution scheme.
The students participated very enthusiastically in the exhibition which was also attended by SE and TE students. Through presentation, demonstration and question answer and defense sessions, the students gained high confidence about to build, present and communicate ideas to others. The event was coordinated by Mr A.N Shetye under the guidelines from the Research and Development Cell of FA.M.T. It concluded with thanks to all the judges and congratulating all the student participants in the competition by Prof. V.V. Nimbalkar.
