Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering under Association for Students of Electronics and Telecommunication (ASENT) organized ‘Parichay-2K19 and Engineers’ Day’ on 21st September, 2019 along with Teacher’s Day Celebration.
‘Parichay-2K19’ is a welcome programme for Second Year E&Tc students in the department. Dr. Kuashal Prasad, Principal, and Dr. S V Chougule, HoD E&TC were present for the events. The celebration began with Sarswati Vandana. The students welcomed and felicitated the faculty members to express respect and gratitude towards the teachers.
Dr. S.V. Chougule welcomed all and introduced the students to E&Tc branch. She emphasized on the importance of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and discussed the blend of three fields into E&Tc viz. Electronics, Telecommunication, and IT. Further, she highlighted the latest trend of ‘Industry 4.0’ which demands technical professionals in the field of Automation, Robotics, IoT and IIoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Cyber security. She also encouraged the students to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for a balanced learning process.
Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal, congratulated the students for arranging the events nicely. He suggested the S.E. students to take guidance from the students of T.E. and B.E. to arrange and manage technical programs so to improve their skill set and overall personality.
To mark the occasion of Engineers Day, the B.E. students presented on India in Space to share information about ISRO’s achievements along with a video regarding the launch of satellites. They also shared information about the Department and activities of ASENT through a presentation. Fun activities for S. E. students were arranged to enable them to actively participate and interact with the senior students.
