The department of Information Technology Engineering recently conducted a Parents Meet for T.E. Information Technology on 25 February 2017, at IT seminar hall. The meeting commenced in the presence of the Head of the department, Prof. Santosh V Jadhav, along with the concerned Class Teacher, Subject Teachers and Mentors. The parents were welcomed for the meet by Prof. Mandar S Joshi. This was followed by an address from Prof. Santosh V Jadhav, wherein he emphasized on several topics related to overall functioning of the department, along with co-curricular & extracurricular programs conducted by the department.
Other highlights of his speech included future plans of the department and alumni association. With a short speech of the T.E class teacher, Prof. Atiya R Kazi urged the parents to use this open platform to discuss their ward’s progress. The departmental training and placement coordinator, Prof. Onkar D Dike, elucidated the importance of student participation in different training activities to boost the students’ skillset. An informal session of discussion followed between parents, students and mentors/subject teachers viz.
Prof. Priyanka S Bandagale, Prof. Mahesh M Patil, Prof. Shashank S Tolye, Prof. Deven D Ketkar and Prof. Vishal S Kore. Many valuable suggestions from the parents were duly noted down for future reference. Feedback forms were also circulated amongst parents. The session concluded on a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Mandar S Joshi. After the meet,a tour of all the laboratories and classrooms was coordinated by the respective Lab In-charges.
