Online Induction Program for FYMCA

Two days Online Induction Program for FYMCA was organized by the Department of Master of Computer Application from 7^th January 2022 to 8^th January 2022.

The objective of the induction program was to integrate the new students into the institution and make them understand the systems and procedures followed by the institution. It will help them to inculcate in them the culture of the institution, help them build bonds with other students and the faculty members.

Day 1:

The program was inaugurated by the honorable Principal Dr. Kaushal Prasad, who also gave a keynote address to the students of First-year MCA. He welcomed all the students and congratulated them for choosing MCA course to build their career. He gave a brief history of the institute and told that how this institute was founded by Late Shri. P. P. Chhabria with the sole objective of providing quality education at an affordable cost to the students of the remote Konkan belt. He explained in detail about career opportunities available to the students. He explained that how the institute provides the best infrastructure and facilities for the development of the students.

Mr. Gajanan D. Targaonkar, the Registrar, shared detailed information about the scholarship schemes of government, private as well as offered by the institute along with the procedure to apply, documents required, etc. He also shared that the office is always ready to help the students in completing their work.

Prof. Tejas V. Joshi, Head of the MCA Department welcomed the principal, faculty members, students. He gave a brief introduction and the objectives and other details of the induction program to the audience. He introduced Department of MCA to students and explained syllabus and examination scheme to them. He encouraged the students to attend the lectures regularly and study hard. He also shared about the systems and mechanism of the department to ensure smooth teaching-learning.

Prof. Kishor R. Bhosale, the Head Training and Placement Cell, gave presentation on T&P activities conducted by our college and placement details. He encouraged students to participate in various workshops and industry training programs organized by TnP Department to develop their technical and communication skills.

Prof. Ravindra V. Kerkar presented vote of thanks to all the dignitaries, faculty members and students.

Day 2:

On second day of the induction program Online Yoga Session was organized. Prof. Giri S. Kulkarni instructed students to perform yoga and its importance in daily life of students. He explained how yoga can help to reduce stress, improve concentration, improve posture and strengthen their core.

The Department also organized industry interaction through one of our prominent alumni Mr. Vallabh Kulkarni, Product Designer at HCL Softwares. He delivered expert lecture on User Experience Design and its various aspects. He explained the key concepts of UX Design to the students. Later while interacting with the students, he shared valuable insights, industry trends and technologies, internships, and career opportunities with the students.

Prof. Harshada U. Salvi Mentorship Committee Departmental Coordinator, in her interaction, explained the benefits of Mentorship Program. She explained how mentor – mentee healthy interaction motivates the students for studying hard and counselling helps the students to solve their academic as well as personal problems.

Prof. Rahul Kotawadekar shared information about the Student Association of MCA. He shared history of Student Association of MCA and various events that were organized.

Online Creative and Cultural Activity was also conducted wherein students shared their creativity like rangoli, photography, crafts, paintings poems, stories etc.

The program was attended by 48 students and 6 faculty. Prof. Harshada Salvi and Prof. Rahul V. Kotawadekar did the anchoring of the program.
