MCA Students on Industrial Visit to Altruist Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Chandigarh
The MCA students were on an Industrial Visit to Altruist Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Chandigarh. It was organized by the Department of MCA from 19th to 26th December 2019.
The objective of the industrial visit was to help the students gain first-hand information regarding the functioning of the industry. It provided the students the opportunities to plan, organize, and engage in active learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
A total of 31 students and 2 Faculty members visited Altruist Technologies Pvt Ltd, Chandigarh on 21st December 2019. Altruist Technologies Pvt. Ltd., is a leading provider of IT and Telecom Solutions in 50+ countries to over 100+ Enterprises across Asia, Africa, Europe & the Middle East. Altruist group is one of the largest and the most successful group with 11 companies and 12,000+ strong team, spread across various countries. The different sectors in which the company offers solutions are as follows:
- Value-added Services like Content Services, Rich Media Services, and VAS Platforms.
- Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management, QoS Analysis, Mobile Analytics.
- Core Telcom Solutions, Billing Platform, Enterprise Platform, and
Ms. Surabhi Gupta (Technical Lead, Altruist Technologies) and Ms. Kiran Luthara (Sr. Hr Executive, Altruist Technologies) conducted a session on “Working on Cross Platforms, Possibilities and Opportunities” for the students. The session started with the introduction of the basics of programming concepts. The basics were revised and the session continued the explanations of the current working platforms and ways to integrate them. The technical aspects related to the development of web cloud services and network management services were explained in detail with some real-life examples. The session concluded with the discussion of the different skill sets and also the career path in cross-platform computing and other related fields. A question-answer session was conducted thereafter where students discussed their queries.
The entire industrial visit was organized and coordinated by Prof. Rahul V. Kotawadekar and Prof. Harshada Salvi.
