Alumni-Student Interaction
The department of MCA in association with the Students Association of MCA (SAM) organized an alumni interaction session for the students on 18th October 2019. Our prominent alumni Mr. Mangesh Sawant, currently working as Team Lead and Full Stack Java Developer at Vertoz Pvt. Ltd., interacted with students.
He is also the winner of the prestigious Late. Smt. Mohini P. Chhabria award of Excellence in 2017.
The lecture began with a welcome address by the Head of the Department, MCA, Prof. Tejas V. Joshi. He introduced and welcomed the alumni, Mr. Mangesh Sawant. The interaction began with Mangesh sharing his experiences during his career. He also shared the opportunities and challenges he faced during the progress of his career and how to prepare for them. He told the importance of communication and interpersonal skills to achieve success. He later gave insights to the students related to the skills they will require to achieve if they are planning to choose Java as their career path.
He also explained the importance of keeping up with hobbies and fitness and how it impacts your career. He is a fitness trainer and a regular full marathon runner. The interaction concluded with a question-answer session where he addressed the student queries. A total of 42 students from MCA departments attended the interaction.
Asst. Prof. Rahul V. Kotawadekar coordinated the organization of the alumni interaction and gave the vote of thanks.
