Faculty Development Program on “Cyber Security”
The Information Technology Department organized a three Days Faculty Development Program on “Cyber Security” in association with ATS Learning solutions(Microsoft Authorized Education partner) which aims to promote Microsoft certifications for faculty and students. The FDP was conducted from 23-01-2020 to 25-01-2020 for IT and other departments Faculty in the IT department’s Computer Networks lab. The FDP was co-ordinated by Prof. Atiya R Kazi with guidance from IT HoD, Dr Vinayak Bharadi. The FDP was attended by 15(IT) and 14(OTHERS) with a total of 29 faculty members. The FDP trainer, Mr Ranjeet Ambarte from ATS, who is a Cyber Security Engineer for Tech Era Securities and a part-time Cyber Security Consultant for Nagpur (Maharashtra) Police as well as an Ethical Hacker/Cyber Security Researcher for Cyber Octet Pvt. Ltd. He provided detailed demonstrations of performing vulnerability/risk/threat assessments, configuring and monitoring network security solutions. He helped the faculty gain hands-on experience in suggesting and implementing security solutions and workaround for the gaps and Vulnerabilities with prerequisite recommendations (technical and administrative) to defend against potential attacks.
