Electrical Engineering Department Held a Parent Meeting for Students with Year Drop

A parent meeting was held to address the concerns of parents whose children experienced a year drop in their academic journey. The purpose of the meeting was to provide guidance on effective study planning and to explain the examination rules. Dr. Mane J. J., the Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, led the discussion.
The meeting commenced with a warm welcome Dr. Mane J. J., acknowledging the importance of parental involvement in a student’s education.The meet aimed at addressing the issue of year drops, highlighting that it is a common challenge and should not be seen as a setback but rather an opportunity for improvement.
Study Planning Guidance: Emphasised the significance of effective study planning. He discussed strategies to help students make the most of their additional year, including creating a study schedule, setting achievable goals, and seeking academic support when needed.
Support Services: Information about the various academic support services available at the institution, such as tutoring, counselling, and study groups, was shared with parents.
Examination Rules: Dr. Mane J. J. took the floor to explain the examination rules and regulations. He clarified the expectations regarding academic integrity, the grading system, and the importance of adhering to the code of conduct during exams.
Q&A Session: Parents were given an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on any concerns they had regarding their child’s academic journey and the year drop.
