EESA Celebrated World Biofuel Day
The World Bio-Fuel Day was celebrated by EESA on 10th August 2023 educate, inspire, and engage participants about the bio fuels and their role in transition to a greener and more sustainable energy future.
Prof. Raju Marag, Assistant Professor, Dept of Chemical Engineering, FAMT, Ratnagiri delivered a Lecture on Biofuel Technology to a total of 71 Electrical Engineering students as well as faculty members. Prof. Marag discussed the project done by final-year students under his guidance on biofuels
Dr Jayant Mane, Head of the Department (HOD) of Electrical Engineering addressed the gathering on the occasion by acknowledging the importance of World Biofuel Day, a day dedicated to promoting the use of bio fuels as a cleaner and more sustainable alternative to traditional fossil fuels.
The documentary about Rudolf Diesel was presented during the Bio Fuel Day Celebration, providing an insightful exploration into the life, inventions, and contributions of the visionary engineer Rudolf Diesel.
Ms. Siddhi Sapre, students of BE Electrical Engineering, delivered a comprehensive presentation on various policies by the government of India related to bio fuels in honour of World Biofuel Day. Ms. Sapre highlighted several key policies that play a crucial role in promoting the production and utilisation of biofuels on a global scale.
On the occasion of World Biofuel Day, all students and faculty pledged for Fuel Conservation from the website: https://pledge.mygov.in/saksham/. Aryan Dhandore (a student from TE Electrical) anchored the programme.
The decoration team’s effort in creating a visually appealing ambience for the event, particularly through blackboard decorations related to Bio-Fuel Day, was commendable. The social media team was responsible for handling, creating and managing all the presentations and posters related to the event. The seamless organisation and flawless execution of the event would not have been possible without the steadfast commitment and collaborative spirit exhibited by every member of the EESA.
