Indian government introduced BHIM mobile application to initiate fast, secure and reliable cashless payments through mobile. In view of this, the students of electrical engineering in association with Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE), FAMT organized Digital India Campaign on 10 February, 2017 wherein students disseminated the information about the digital transactions, cashless system and use of BHIM app to people in nearby villages. The students from third year electrical engineering department Miss. Shraddha Vartak, Miss. Ketaki Chavan, Mr. Shubham Chormale, Mr. Nikhil Dali and Mr. Prathmesh Thombare took part in this activity.
Miss. Shraddha Vartak guided the audience regarding the various modes of cashless system like cheque, NEFT/RTGS, internet banking, mobile/SMS banking and use of BHIM application with power point presentation. Miss. Ketaki Chavan, Mr. Shubham Chormale, Mr. Nikhil Dali and Mr. Prathmesh Thombare gave live demonstration of transaction by using android mobiles.
