Annual Day & Inaugural Ceremony of Utopia & Brainwaves 2K25, the most awaited Annual programme of Finolex Academy was held on 21st and 22nd February 2025.
The inaugural function was organized in the presences of Honourable Ms. Meher Pudumjee (Chairperson, Thermax Global), the Chief Guest and Mr. Prakash Iyer (Former CEO, Leadership Trainer & Motivational Speaker), the guest of honour for the inaugural function. Dr. Aruna Katara (President, of Hope Foundation) presided over the function. Principal- Dr. Kaushal Prasad and Dean Faculty – Dr. S. B. Kulkarni also shared the dais with the dignitaries.
The inaugural ceremony of the annual prize distribution was graced with inspiring words from the chief guest, the guest of honor, and the president, who delivered uplifting addresses to mark the occasion.
- Scholarships & Awards- The inauguration of Utopia 2025 was followed by the distribution of annual prizes and scholarships to the meritorious students and the felicitation of the faculty for their achievements.
- Budye Samiya Khalid Akhtar Husnabanu (Computer Science, AIML) was awarded Rs. 20,000/- cash prize for securing the highest marks in the First Year in Academy for the academic year 2023-2024
- Late Smt. Mohini P Chhabria Award of Rs.10,000/- for standing first in each branch of

- Felicitation of young achievers-
- Vansh Gandhi from the CSE (AIML) department cleared the GATE exam with the “Data Science and Artificial Intelligence” paper and achieved All India Rank (AIR) 189.
- Zohaib Hamdule from the CSE (AIML) department not only achieved AIR 2041 in the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence paper but also secured AIR 3007 in the “Computer Science and Information Technology” paper.
- Devadatta Pokharankar from the CSE (AIML) department cleared the GATE exam with the “Data Science and Artificial Intelligence” paper and achieved All India Rank (AIR) 3614.
- Kshitij Kamble from the Electrical Department successfully cleared the GATE exam with a score of 253, achieving an All-India Rank (AIR) of 19,405.
- A team of 3rd-year Electrical Engineering Students (Atharva Shinde, Atharva Palsuledesai, Pranav Desai and Raj Chavan) secured a position among all India’s top 12 teams in the IBM Skill Build Internship Program with CSRBOX on AI-ML.
- A team of 16 FAMT students secured 3rd Prize in the zonal round of Purushottam Karandak.
- Shambhavi Sutar won the consolation prize in Acting in the final round of Purushottam Karandak.
- Avanee Athavale of the Electrical Department stood 1st in Chanakya Mandal’s State-Level Essay writing competition And Got Scholarship Prize Equivalent To 60,000/-
- FAMT table tennis team (Jay Rathod, Om Vadake, Vedant Haldankar, Aarya Salvi, Pranav Janwalkar) won 1st position in the Mumbai University Inter-College Table Tennis Zonal Tournament AND Jay Rathod and Vedant Haldankar were also selected for Mumbai University Inter-Zonal Table Tennis Tournament.
