Department of Electronics Engineering had organized an Alumni talk, on 11th of March 2021 by Mr. Ritesh Belgudri. This “Alumni Talk” was organized as a part of Silver Jubilee celebrations of our FAMT college.
Our 2012 batch passed out Alumni Mr Ritesh Belgudri gave a talk on “Journey in VLSI Industry”. The talk was organized on 11th March, 2021, at 11.30 am, for the students by the department. The objective of the Alumni Talk was that, students can get to listen to his experiences of making career in VLSI domain, they get to interact with the Alumni, get to know what industry expects from a fresh graduate, what kind of research is going on in topnotch industries and take his guidance in structuring their own career.
From the past two years Ritesh is working as a Field Application Engineer in Intel Corporation, Bangalore. This is indeed a remarkable achievement. Prior he has worked as an FPGA Design Engineer and as a FPGA Architect. He has done his M.Tech in VLSI Design from VIT, Chennai. He has publications in reputed Journals and Conferences and he is also a member of VLSI Society of India and IEEE.
Ritesh started his talk by sharing his memories of FAMT college, going to beautiful places in and around Ratnagiri and his life with friends in FAMT. He then made students realize the impact of VLSI in our today’s life with social media- Mobile Phones, remote learning, 4G as well as the next generation 5G technology, healthcare, Autonomous Vehicles, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence as well as Datacenters. He then gave an overview of VLSI Industry by categorizing it into Fabless companies, Foundary/Fab Labs and IDM (Integrated Device Manufacture) companies.
In the interactive session with students, regarding his career advice to students he urged students for “Don’t just look for a job find a purpose……” so that you will never be bored with what you are doing.
