The third talk of the Gearing Up Webinar Series was delivered by Shri Paresh Teredesai on Saturday 15th January 2022. A total of 109 students from SE, TE, and BE attended the webinar on the Preparation of the Interview.
Prof. M. N. Tagare welcomed and introduced Mr. Paresh Teredesai. Mr. Paresh has passed BE Mechanical in 2001 and ME from SP College, Andheri. He has also completed MBA in International Business Management. He has professional experience of 20 years in sectors like Engineering services, IT services and product management. He has worked in the capacities like Product Manager, IT Service Center Head, Engineering Manager, R&D Engineer during his career. Presently he is working as Sr. Production Manager, Plex, A Rockwell Automation Company, Pune.
Initially, Mr. Paresh discussed preparations one day before the interview. He suggested tips like reading Job description carefully, gathering data of the company in various aspects, trying to match similarities and gaps between resume and Job description, preparing for the most common questions and expected answers and rehearsing the interview. He further suggested having proper rest and clothing, reaching the interview place well before the scheduled time and avoiding anxiety.
Later, he discussed the dos and don’ts during the interview, different situations and solutions, commonly asked questions, and their typical expected answers. Lastly, some tips related to the post-interview process were given. He finally answered all the queries raised by the students.
Dr. Sandeep Chawada, Head of Electrical Engineering Department, was also present for the webinar. Prof. M.N.Tagare and Prof. Suhas Mhabadi coordinated the entire activity. The program ended with a vote of thanks. Alumnus Sandeep Sanjay Kulkarni, TCS, designed the web poster for the event.
