Research and Development Cell, Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri arranged a Webinar on India First Leadership Talk Series – “Future of Technical Education in India” by Dr. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education. The webinar was organized on 22^nd April, 2019 by AICTE-MHRD’s Innovation Cell to address the young minds of country and to provide career orientation.

Dr. Abhay Jere, the Chief Innovation Officer, MIC, MHRD, Govt. of India, was in conversation with Dr. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe. He posed several questions on behalf of the students, mainly from Engineering and other disciplines to Dr. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe.

In the interactive session, Dr. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe mentioned that in present scenario, the ‘Industry expects a lot’ and we teach concepts at Institutional level but application of those concepts in real world today is what is required to be learnt by students. He further highlighted various measures which should be taken by the institutes and faculty to improve the employability of students. He provided information about the schemes and initiatives offered by the government for improvement in Curriculum, Pedagogy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Project based learning; Internships and learning based education were emphasized in his talk.
