A Talk on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar as Motivational Idol and His Role in Safeguarding the Rights of Workers and Farmers
First Year Engineering Students’ Association organized a Talk on “Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar as Motivational Idol and His Role in Safeguarding the Rights of Workers and Farmers” on the occasion of 133 Birth Anniversary of Dr. B. R Ambedkar on Monday, 15 April 2024.
Dr. D. S. Nangre gave brief biographical information about Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and highlighted how Dr. Ambedkar fought against adverse situations and completed his education. He told students about the various difficulties overcome by Dr. Ambedkar in the pursuit of education. He explained how Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar is a great source of motivation and an idol for the students. Later, he gave detailed information on how Dr. Ambedkar fought for the rights of citizens and employees and how he ensured to provide workers a life of esteem and security. The speaker encouraged students to strive for the best, the way Dr. Ambedkar strived and worked for the betterment of the nation as an ideal engineer.
Dr. Y. G. Mulye, the Head, First Year of Engineering Department addressed the audience and introduced the speaker. Prof. Darshana Bapat anchored the programme. 74 students and 4 faculty members attended the programme. The programme was organized under the guidance of Principal- Dr Kaushal Prasad and Dr. Y. G. Mulye.
