A Seminar on “Career Opportunities in Semiconductor Technology”
The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Finolex Academy of Management & Technology, Ratnagiri organized a Seminar on Career Opportunities in Semiconductor Technology on 01 February 2025 for SE, TE and BE EXTC students. The resource person for the seminar was Mr. Umesh Gaikwad, Co-Founder of Iravan Technologies, Pune.
The seminar provided a comprehensive understanding of career in the semiconductor industry. The session covered crucial aspects such as career planning, key companies, essential software tools, and an overview of engineering roles within the industry.
By the end of the seminar, students gained valuable insights into the semiconductor industry’s structure and the skills required to succeed in various engineering roles. They gain a clearer understanding of how to approach career planning, which software tools to focus on, and what types of companies and roles to pursue in the rapidly growing semiconductor sector.
Prof. V. D. Chavan coordinated the seminar under the guidance of Dr Girish Bhide, Associate Professor (EXTC Dept) and Prof. Kishore Bhosale, Head of the Training and Placement Cell., with the encouragement of Dr S. V. Chougule (Head of EXTC Dept.) and Honorable Principal Dr Kaushal Prasad.
Students interacted with Mr. Umesh Gaikwad regarding details of the semiconductor industry and expressed keen interest in attending similar sessions in the future. 87 students from EXTC Department took advantage of the seminar.
