About FAMT Hostel
Presently, the hostel is located in Finolex Industries Limited Housing Colony at Zadgaon, Ratnagiri (about 7 kms. from the Academy campus). A transport facility has been provided to ferry hostel residents as per Academy timings. The Boys hostel has a capacity of 150 students and a separate Girls hostel accommodates 90 students. Qualified medial doctor is available on the hostel premises. Mess facility is also available to hostel residents.
The fee structure for the hostel is as given below:
Annual Hostel Charges – 24,000/- (non-refundable)
(The above annual charge is inclusive of hostel fees, transportation, light, water and conservancy).
Mess Regulations & Mess Charges
- Mess is compulsory for all the hostellers.
- All the hostellers are required to join the mess from their date of joining the hostel.
- Hostellers should sign the mess joining register kept in the mess at the time of joining the mess.
- Mess Charges are 2400/- per month. Monthly Mess charges are inclusive of all taxes as applicable on 02st July, 2019.
- Hostellers are required to pay one-month mess charges as an advance to the Mess contractor at the time of joining the mess and obtain and preserve a receipt of the same.
- Subsequently, monthly mess charges to be paid to the mess contractor on or before 10th of every month and obtain as receipt of the same, otherwise penalty/fine will be imposed Rs.10/- per day to the defaulters.
- At the end of every semester, the hosteller has to contact the mess contractor and settle the charges before leaving the hostel.
- In case of any matter related with mess, the Principal, FAMT will be the final authority to take decision.
Mess Refund/Rebate Rules:
- Mess rebate claims will be considered under academic reasons (attending seminar, workshop, conferences, Internship etc.,), leave sanctioned by Department. In such case the desirous hosteller has to apply for mess rebate, to the mess contractor at least 03 days in advance with proper written request through the warden.
- The rules to get rebate in mess charges during Public Holidays / Preparative Live (PL’s) are as under:

- The decision to grant mess rebate to the hosteler for his/her major absence for genuine reason will be taken by the Warden & Principal, FAMT.
