Two Days Workshop
On
MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT DESIGN USING SOLID WORK
The department of Chemical Engineering organized a two days Workshop on MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT DESIGN USING SOLID WORK on February 10 and 24, 2018. The objective of workshop was to explore the fundamentals of Mechanical Equipment Design focusing on designing and drawing process equipment with the help of SOLIDWORKS (SW). SW are easy-to-learn tool, make it possible to sketch ideas, experiment with features along with dimensions, and produce models and detailed drawings. The SW software is useful for converting design calculations into three dimensional (3D). The workshop comprise of pressure vessel, foot-step bearing, and flange joint design with theory and practical session.
The workshop was Coordinated by Prof. Subhash S Kadlag, Prof. D C Dengale Prof. D C Dengale gave a brief outline of the workshop.Following were the resource person for the workshop:
Prof. G D Pandit (Mechanical Engg.)
Prof. P R Kamble (Mechanical Engg.)
Prof. S S Kadlag (Chemical Engg.)
