“Parichay – 2023”
The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (EXTC) under the Association of Students of Electronics and Telecommunication (ASENT) organized Parichay – 2023 on 14th October, 2023.
Parichay-2023 is celebrated to welcome second-year students in the department. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of respected Principal Dr. K. K. Prasad, Dr. S. V. Chougule, HOD – EXTC Department, Prof. M. K. Zagade, ASENT Faculty In-charge, all the Faculty, staff members and the students of the EXTC Department. The ASENT Committee members welcomed all dignitaries and faculty members. The program started with a brief introduction and lamp lightening and worship of goddess Saraswati who is a symbol of knowledge and wisdom.
Dr Sharada V. Chougule HOD EXTC, welcomed all and introduced the students to the EXTC branch. She gave valuable guidance to students about choosing their career path and start working on the same in the right direction. Dr Chougule further appreciated ASENT student coordinators for their efforts in systematic organization of the event. Dr. Kaushal Prasad congratulated students for their wonderful grades in University exams. He also motivated all students for holistic development and approach to enhance their skill set along with academics as required for good placement and a bright career.
The program was followed by the inauguration of First Departmental Magazine i.e. COMMUNICA -Volume 1. Students presented the content about the Magazine Communicate which includes Vision, Mission, PEOs, PSOs of department, faculty and staff members, technical articles, poems, drawings and photos with the help of a small video. BE and TE students shared their views related to their journey in the department. The department also congratulated students who achieved exceptional grades in the past semester university exam. Students who participated in the Poster Making Competition and Speech Competition were appreciated with participation certificates.
The event was successfully concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Adil Shaikh, Student Chief Coordinator- ASENT.
BE students arranged different fun games for SE students to boost their confidence, and enable them to actively participate and interact with their seniors.
This program served the following objectives:
- To participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for balanced academics.
- To improve communication skills,leadership and team skills and overall personality of the
- Tomake the interaction between students of SE, TE and BE.
- Inauguration of First Departmental Magazine- “COMMUNICA” VOL-1.
Mr Adil Shaikh and Ms Aliya Upadye were the coordinators of the program, Prof. M. K. Zagade was the faculty coordinator, and Ms. Tazkiya Bawani and Ms. Urfa Bhattiwale hosted the program. The program was organized and successfully under the guidance of Dr. Sharada V. Chougule, Head of EXTC Department.
