Two Days Workshop on
‘Compressed Air Network, Maintenance of Pumps and Compressors’
The department of Mechanical Engineering organized two days Workshop on ‘Compressed Air Network, Maintenance of Pumps and Compressors’ in association with Finolex Industries Limited, Ratnagiri for final year Mechanical Engineering students.
The workshop aimed at bridging the gap between curriculum and the industry practices in the field of Mechanical Utility System.
On day one, the technical sessions were conducted by Mr. Chetan Moghe, Mr. Milind Pandit and Mr. Chandrashekhar Joshi of Finolex Industries Limited, Ratnagiri on Reciprocating and Centrifugal pumps and reciprocating Compressors.
On day two, a visit to Finolex Industries Limited, Ratnagiri was arranged where the students got practical exposure to different types of pumps and compressors. This workshop was organized with guidance from Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Dr. M. S. Kirkire and with whole hearted support from Mr. S S Math (Managing Director, FIL, Ratnagiri) and Mr. S S Mulye (Vice President, FIL, Ratnagiri). Total 103 students participated in this workshop which was organized and coordinated by Prof. V. S. Bagade, Prof. Hemant V. Chavan, Prof. Shodhan U Mayekar and Prof. Deep S Bandivadekar.
