I take this opportunity to congratulate you for having secured admission to the
first year engineering course on the basis of your merit. You are new poised to
enter a professional college wherein the modalities of teaching differ vastly
from the junior college. Here the student is guided to pursue studies on
his own, through reference books, journal and other material available in the
library.
It is my sincere advice to you to attend all lectures, tutorials and practicals
conducted as they are directed to impart the fundamental knowledge, the core of
the subject which is essential to be able to tackle any question/numerical problem. However, an in-depth study on the subject has to be undertaken through
your own efforts.
I am a firm believer on the maxim "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy",
so do participate in all co-curricular activities held on the campus and leave
your mark in the memories of the Academy.
We have made an endeavor to prepare this brochure to guide you through the
difficult period do the first year. So please refer to it and derive maximum
benefit from it.
Bon voyage through the ocean of technical knowledge, at the end of which
you would be mature, proud and a competent budding engineer ready to face the
turbulent world.
